Newton Medical Center Welcomes Steven Ronsick, MD, FCCP

Dr. Ronsick to serve as Medical Director of hospital’s Sleep Disorders Center

NEWTON, Kan., (October 28, 2015) – Newton Medical Center welcomes Steven Ronsick, MD, FCCP, Board-certified and Fellowship-trained Pulmonologist. Dr. Ronsick will serve as the new Medical Director of the hospital’s Sleep Disorders Center.

Dr. Ronsick is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians and Kansas Medical Society. He has also served as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

“We are pleased to have Dr. Ronsick join the Newton Medical Center family,” says Steve Kelly, President and Chief Executive Officer, Newton Medical Center. “His extensive clinical expertise will help further elevate the high level of sleep medicine services we offer to the community.”

The Sleep Disorders Center, located on the Newton Medical Center campus at 1715 Medical Center Parkway, provides a quiet context for evaluating symptoms of sleep disorders such as insomnia, excessive snoring, fatigue and inappropriate “dozing off” during normal activities like driving or working. Sleep studies are used to diagnose and evaluate effectiveness of therapy for narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea and other disorders.
