Cardiac Rehab Certification
This certification is recognition of NMC Health’s commitment to improving the quality of life of patients by enhancing standards of care. To earn accreditation, NMC Health’s cardiovascular rehabilitation program participated in an application process that requires extensive documentation of the program’s practices. AACVPR Program Certification is the only peer-review accreditation process designed to review individual programs for adherence to standards and guidelines developed and published by AACVPR and other related professional societies.
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at NMC Health Medical Center has earned a 3-year accreditation from the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International.) This accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process.

Cribs for Kids Safe Sleep Hospital Certification
NMC Health has been certified by the Cribs for Kids organization as a Safe Sleep Gold Certified Hospital, the highest level of certification an organization can receive from the organization.
Through the High 5 for Mom & Baby program, an initiative of the Kansas Breastfeeding Workgroup, NMC Health has demonstrated a commitment to infant and maternal health by supporting breastfeeding success.
NMC Health’s Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center has received accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). UHMS accreditation recognizes those facilities that meet or exceed the highest standards of care and patient safety through rigorous evaluation of the facility’s operation. This makes NMC Health the first facility in Central Kansas and only the second in the state to receive this distinction.

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
