At NMC Health, our employees live out their calling through honest, comforting care. For that, we love to recognize them for a job well done.

Here’s a list of awards you can choose from to showcase some of the incredible contributions our employees make every day.

This nominee exemplifies NMC Health’s values of respect, excellence, service and trust. He/she consistently demonstrates excellence through their expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. This employee is recognized by patients, visitors and staff as an outstanding role model. He/she consistently:

• Includes patients and families in the planning of their care.

• Makes a significant difference in the lives of those at NMC Health.
• Shows compassion and are passionate about their profession.

 

The BEE Award

The Be Extraordinary Everyday Award honors passionate, dedicated and skillful clinical, non-nursing staff including doctors, physician assistants, APRNs and other providers, lab and imaging technicians, therapists and other clinicians.

“She consistently went above and beyond to make sure my mom was not only cared for medically, but also comforted as a person… What stood out most was how often she checked on her throughout the night, never making us feel like we were alone or forgotten. The DAISY© Award

The DAISY© (Disease Attacking the Immune System) Award is an international recognition program that honors registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) for the skillful, compassionate care they provide. 

At NMC Health, we recognize clinical nursing staff with this award once every quarter. For a look at our DAISY© Award winners, check out our NMC Health Facebook page.

Kendra, RN, and Khristy, RN

Kendra received an incredible five nominations from patients who felt like they were her only priority. Her care is defined by a bright energy and a willingness to truly listen. As one patient shared:
 
“She sat and talked to me for what seemed like hours. She shared stories, listened to the stories I had to tell, and she even made personal connections which made it feel like I was in a safe place. It’s never fun being in the hospital or having surgery, but she made my recovery so much better with her being so kind and so caring. She is truly a great nurse.”
 
Khristy was recognized for the profound impact she had on a family navigating a very difficult and vulnerable stay. Her nomination speaks to the peace she brings to the room:
 
“From the very beginning, Khristy treated my mom with extraordinary compassion, dignity, and patience. In a time filled with uncertainty and fear, her calm presence and genuine kindness brought comfort not only to my mom, but also to me as a family member trying to navigate an overwhelming situation… She recognized the emotional weight of the situation and offered compassion in ways that will stay with us forever. Her ability to combine skill, professionalism, and heartfelt humanity reflects the very best of nursing.”

The LIFE Award

The LIFE (Live It Fully Every Day) Award honors non-clinical employees who go above and beyond their call of duty every day. These employees could be housekeeping, registration, accounting, administration and many other departments across the hospital.

We want to know if our staff is living out our fundamental values of respect, excellence, service and trust.

Tricia’s commitment to NMC Health—and to you—is what earned her this quarter’s LIFE Award.
 
Her nomination says it best: “…She is approachable and ready to help out. She shows up to work and is known to work extra hours to help her team. Tricia is a hard worker and provides value to the hospital each day… Her smile and generosity while checking patients in and obtaining insurance make a positive difference in the lives of patients, families, and staff at NMC Health.”
