NMC Health to Offer Pulmonology and Added Sleep Services

Newton Medical Center announced today plans to offer pulmonology and additional sleep medicine services. Steven Ronsick, MD, FCCP, medical director of Newton Medical Center’s Sleep Disorders Center, will begin seeing patients on the hospital’s campus beginning in May.

“We’re excited to be able to offer these services to the community. This addition will provide an opportunity for patients with sleep or pulmonology-related concerns to see a specialist here in Newton,” says Stefanie Hayes, vice president of physician services, Newton Medical Center. “In addition, patients will be able to meet with Dr. Ronsick for evaluation prior to scheduling a sleep study or to review results after a study.”

Dr. Ronsick is board certified in pulmonology disease, sleep medicine and critical care. He is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians and Kansas Medical Society. His special interests include sleep medicine, asthma, COPD, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension and critical care.
