NEWTON, Kan., (January 23, 2026) – NMC Health proudly announces the opening of NMC Health Cardiology Specialists. This new clinic will focus on interventional cardiology and will open its doors on February 2, 2026.
Located at 800 Medical Center Drive in Newton, NMC Health Cardiology Specialists will provide advanced heart care close to home. It will help people in Harvey County and surrounding communities who need specialized tests and life-saving heart procedures.

NMC Health Cardiology Specialists will treat many heart and blood vessel problems, including:
- Blocked arteries (Coronary Artery Disease)
- Heart attacks
- Irregular heartbeats (Arrhythmia)
- Chest pain (Angina)
- Heart valve problems
- Clogged leg arteries (Peripheral Artery Disease)
Common Procedures
Interventional cardiology uses tiny tubes called catheters to fix heart problems. These procedures are less invasive than surgery. This means patients often heal faster and have less pain. Our services will include:
- Cardiac Catheterization: A test to look at the heart’s blood flow using dye and X-rays.
- Angioplasty: Using a tiny balloon to open a blocked artery.
- Stenting: Placing a small mesh tube to keep an artery open.
- Atherectomy: Using a device to remove hard plaque from arteries.
