Hospital’s annual gala to raise money for nursing scholarships
NEWTON, Kan., (October 8, 2015) – The Harvest Moon Gala returns to Newton Medical Center (NMC) on Thursday, October 29. The event, which includes a silent auction, wine and hors d’oeuvres, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second floor of the NMC surgery center, 800 Medical Center Drive.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Sandra Qamar Nursing Scholarship. In honor of longtime NMC nurse Sandra Qamar and her passion for the profession, the scholarship was created to help nursing students achieve their degrees.
