Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (Part Time Nights) to join our Internal Float Pool team.

In this role, you will:

• Provide professional nursing care to inpatients and outpatients of all ages.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient and family needs, followed by planning, coordination, teaching, counseling, and delivery of direct physical care.

• Evaluate patient responses and progress toward outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.

• Function as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, supporting related duties as assigned.

• Promote safe patient care by demonstrating accountability and effective communication.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing from an accredited school required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience required.

Knowledge and skills:

• Ability to provide age-appropriate care.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient and family-centered care.

• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records.

• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and advocate for patients.

• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Licensure, registration and certification:

• Current Kansas RN license required.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required on designated units.

• Specialty area certification highly desired.
