The Staff Physical Therapist assumes responsibility for the daily activities of therapy services at our new outpatient clinic in Park City. This includes evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and administering physical therapy treatments in accordance with the Kansas Physical Therapy Practice Act.

The Staff Physical Therapist is responsible for overseeing direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff and students within the rehabilitation services area. The therapist participates in documentation and program development as appropriate and assists with, or actively participates in, ACHC and departmental safety procedures and compliance standards.

This position practices with professional autonomy while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans

  • Administer therapeutic interventions in accordance with physician orders and state practice guidelines

  • Supervise and provide direction to therapy staff and students

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards (including ACHC)

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications (as required for success in the role):

Education:

  • Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or

  • Graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or

  • State-certified physical therapist

Experience:

  • Preferably a minimum of one (1) year of experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of physical therapy

  • Familiarity with APTA Code of Ethics

  • Understanding of departmental and organizational policies and procedures

  • Ability to apply supervision and management techniques

  • Ability to apply physical therapy theory and perform technical procedures

  • Competency in operating therapy equipment

  • Strong verbal communication and professional presentation skills

Licensure, Registration, or Certification:

  • Proof of active Physical Therapist license required

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
