Maintenance Specialist

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of routine-to-skilled general preventive maintenance duties related to the repair, upkeep, alteration, and modification of buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The Maintenance Technician works both independently and collaboratively to address maintenance needs in a timely and efficient manner while supporting overall facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on buildings, grounds, and equipment

• Complete repairs and modifications related to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

• Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot facility issues

• Maintain a safe and compliant environment by following all policies and regulations

• Assist with facility upkeep, inspections, and general repairs

• Document completed work and report ongoing maintenance needs

• Support department operations and complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:

• Experience in maintenance within a hospital or healthcare setting preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Basic computer skills for documentation and work orders

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Licensure, Registration, or Certification:

• Journeyman license preferred
