Licensed Practical Nurse (Surgical)

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Surgical Step-down Unit. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering outstanding nursing care and supporting patient recovery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering compassionate, hands-on nursing care

• Monitoring and assessing patient and family needs

• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team

• Educating and counseling patients and families

• Assisting others with delegated care responsibilities

Your strong clinical skills and attention to detail will help patients achieve optimal outcomes, while your communication and teamwork will enhance the care experience for both patients and families.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and experience:

• Graduation from high school or GED
• Graduation from accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Experience with and knowledge of medical terminology and medications
• Experience with and knowledge of medical office procedures, including draw/administration of injections
• Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation

Licensure and certifications:

• Current license as a practical nurse in the state of Kansas
• Basic Life Support is required
• Preferred: IV Therapy Certification from State of Kansas Board of Nursing.
• Additional certifications may be required depending on department/unit assigned.
