We are currently seeking an Insurance Biller to join our fast-paced, team-oriented Central Billing Office. In this role, you’ll play a key part in the revenue cycle process by managing claim follow-up and denial resolution for hospital billing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment with strong communication and analytical skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Investigating and resolving unpaid claims and denials with third-party payers

  • Interpreting insurance remittances, explanations of benefits (EOBs), and adjustment codes (CARC, RARC)

  • Navigating insurance portals such as Availity, UHC, and others to facilitate claims resolution

  • Communicating with insurance representatives and internal departments to reduce delays in reimbursement

  • Recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency in the revenue cycle

  • Supporting patients through incoming billing-related phone calls

  • Assisting with initial claims submission using Meditech Expanse and SSI clearinghouse systems

This is an on-campus, weekday position (no weekends, holidays, or call required).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • College or vocational training in medical billing preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of medical insurance billing experience (hospital setting preferred)

  • Experience with Meditech and patient access functions preferred

  • Customer service experience required

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of current hospital insurance billing regulations and terminology

  • Proficient in CPT and ICD-10 coding, claim adjustment codes, and reimbursement processes

  • Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work independently or within a team

  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and 10-key

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
