Hayes Gets Board Certified in Medical Practice Management

NEWTON, Kan., (December 2, 2015) – Stefanie Hayes, MHA, CMPE, Vice President of Physician Services, has earned the professional designation of Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) by the American College of Medical Practice Executives, the certification entity of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).

“We are proud of Stefanie for this achievement,” says Steve Kelly, President and Chief Executive Officer, Newton Medical Center. “It exemplifies Stefanie’s commitment to excellence, and her leadership is an asset to the Newton Medical Center team.”

The designation of CMPE demonstrates that Hayes has achieved board certification in medical practice management. These include business operations, financial management, human resource management, information management, organizational governance, patient care systems, quality management and risk management. The individual must also complete a presentation requirement and earn a minimum of 50 continuing education credit hours.

Today, MGMA membership is comprised of more than 6,600 individuals who have attained CMPE or ACMPE Fellow status or who seek certification.

In her current role at Newton Medical Center, Hayes oversees the clinics, laboratory, physical and occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, neuro diagnostics, sleep medicine and speech therapy. She is also active in the community, serving as President-Elect of the Newton Chamber of Commerce, Board Secretary of the local Newton YMCA and Advisory Board Member of Kansas – Skills USA vocational and industrial education for postsecondary and secondary students across the state of Kansas.
