Keep Your Heart Healthy During the Holidays

Goals (Cardiac Rehab)

“I can’t add one more thing to my to-do list!” We hear you… but hear us out! Setting goals for your heart health during the holidays could be the most important thing you do for yourself this month.

Do you want to lose weight? Build strength? Run a mile without stopping? Now is the time to take charge, become more physically active, and decrease your risk of a heart attack.

In order to create effective health and fitness goals, it is important to be specific, select achievable goals, and try not to create unrealistic expectations from yourself. For example, don’t set a goal to exercise every day for a month. Instead, decide how many days, and for how long, you will exercise in a week. A simpler goal could be to get outside and enjoy a healthy dose of sunshine. (Don’t forget the sunscreen!)

If you already have a known heart event, such as blockage, congestive heart failure, or heart disease, you can build better heart health with cardiac rehabilitation. Let us design goals and give you the tools to live a higher quality of life despite having heart disease.
