Get to Know Michelle Zane, COA

Michelle Zane, COA

NMC Health is please to announce the addition of Michelle Zane, COA, as Director of Family Medicine Clinics. In this role, she will oversee the operations of our outpatient family medicine clinics in Hesston, Valley Center, and Wichita.

We asked Michelle some questions to help you get to know her:

Why are you excited to join NMC Health?
NMC Health is setting the bar higher and higher for healthcare, and I am honored and excited to do my part in responding to the individual needs of those we serve.

Why did you choose to have a career in healthcare?
I chose to work in healthcare to help others. The gift is in the giving and I live by those words.

What inspires you to do what you do every day?
God and my family inspire me daily. I want them to be proud of what I do and who I am.

What is your favorite thing about working with patients?
I love working with patients. Their personal stories are unique and remind me how truly special we all are in this world.

What are your favorite things to do outside of the office?
When I am not at work, you can find me working or volunteering for any number of non-profit groups such as Wichita Youth Hockey, Storm Booster Club, or League 42. I am a Bingo caller/walker. I am a baseball/softball umpire going on 10 years and mentor young umpires. In my down time, I like to rea, watch movies, and play sports or exercise.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering a career in healthcare, what would it be?
There is nothing better than knowing you made a difference in someone’s life. It’s not always an easy road but doing what you love and loving what you do means you never work a day in your life.

What’s the best advice you received?
The best advice I received is that kindness and respect go a long way.

What’s one thing you wish every patient knew?
I wish every patient knew how much they are valued and that we have big hearts. It’s our desire to care for people and appreciate being treated with kindness and respect in return.

We are excited to welcome Michelle to our leadership.
