They say you learn something new everyday. For Tami Werner, a physicians assistant within NMC Health Medical Center’s hospitalist program, it’s part of what drew her to the career.
“I love having the opportunity to make people feel better,” she said. “I enjoy collaborating with other healthcare workers and love that I learn something new everyday.”
She also loves the flexibility to get to switch from one specialty to another. After spending nearly two decades in family medicine, it’s a nice change of pace.
When she’s not working, you can find her at her kids’ sporting events, spending time with family, attending Sassanach’s concerts (as her daughter plays the accordion and husband plays the banjo), napping, working in the yard, traveling, floating behind the pontoon with her besties and taking the family’s Goldendoodles on walks.
