Dr. Saad Farhat is Board-Certified in Cardiovascular Disease with extensive experience and training in Nuclear Cardiology. He was previously founder and president of Advanced Cardiac Care of Kansas, in Newton Kansas from 2004-2018, before joining Heartland Cardiology. He received his Internal Medicine residency training at Ohio State University School of Medicine, and his Cardiology Fellowship at Wright State University School of Medicine. Dr. Farhat serves as the Medical Director of the Cath lab at NMC Health since it’s establishment in 2009. He is a long-standing participant, and one of the founders of NMC Cardiac Services. He was the first Cardiologist to implant an Internal Cardiac Defibrillator in a patient at NMC Health, as well as the first cardiologist at NMC Health to perform a transesophageal echocardiogram and diagnostic cardiac catheterization.
Dr. Farhat performs pacemaker and defibrillator implants, heart catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiograms, and all types of stress tests, as well as Cardiovascular Disease consultation and management. He has a special interest in Diagnostic Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Catheterization, Cardiac Device implants and follow up, and Nuclear Cardiology and non-invasive cardiovascular care. Dr. Farhat enjoys playing soccer, exercising, spending time with his family and traveling in his free time.
