Why are you excited to join NMC Health?
I like the idea of getting to know the Newton community better.

Why did you choose to have a career in healthcare?
My sister was born with cleft lip and palate. She was hospitalized a lot and this gave me exposure to health care systems.

What are your specialties and why did you choose them?
Family Practice/Immediate Care/Urgent Care – I like the fast-paced nature of acute care visits and the critical thinking involved in diagnosing.

What inspires you to do what you do every day?
The reward of seeing patients improve.

What is your favorite thing about working with patients?
They are so appreciative of the care and education they receive.

What is your top priority when providing healthcare?
Patient education. Giving the patients the tools to get better and stay better.

What are your favorite things to do outside of the office?
Spend time with my husband and 3 daughters.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering a career in healthcare, what would it be? Don’t take things too personally. You never know what someone is going through.

What’s the best advice you received?
If you don’t know, ask.

What’s one thing you wish every patient knew?
That providers really do care about their well-being. This job was never about the paycheck.
