DRG is a patient classification system that covers all the charges for an inpatient service, standardizing payments to hospitals. This pricing information only includes prices billed by NMC Health, its clinics and their employed providers. Additional charges from outside doctors may be included in your hospital bill. These would be charges for the service and care they performed for you while you were at NMC Health. Examples include, but are not limited to:

Since NMC Health is committed to empowering you with the necessary information needed to make informed healthcare decisions, we are also providing you with clear and accessible insurance pricing information about the items and services we provide. This data is made available to you in the follow two pricing formats, however, neither format is a guarantee of final billed charges:

• As comprehensive machine-readable files for items and services (Inpatient file, Outpatient file); and
• In a consumer-friendly tool for shoppable services

The comprehensive machine-readable files contain standard charges for all items and service provided by our hospital and give you the tools you need to compare pricing between insurance companies and plans. The shoppable services information provides you with pricing for our 300 most common services, and allows you to obtain an estimate of the amount you will be obligated to pay NMC Health. Estimates are based on average charges and may vary based on your health condition, unknown circumstances or complications, final diagnosis, and recommended treatment ordered by your physician. If you have insurance, you should also contact your health benefits administrator for the most accurate information regarding covered benefits, deductible, coinsurances and copayment amounts.
