NEWTON, Kan., (September 16, 2026) – NMC Health is pleased to announce that it gave back more than $6.1 million to local families during its fiscal year that ended June 30, 2026. This total marks a more than 20% increase in community giving over the prior year. These funds improve health across Newton and Harvey County.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, NMC Health invests back into the region to improve access to care. More than 7,500 friends and neighbors received free or discounted care through the Health Care Assistance (HCA) program. This financial support program helps families earning under 275% of the federal poverty level.
“Our mission goes beyond the walls of our hospital and clinics,” said Val Gleason, President and CEO of NMC Health. “Every dollar and every volunteer hour represents our tithe to the community and our commitment to improving health in Newton, Harvey County and surrounding areas. We are proud to care for our neighbors whenever and wherever they need us.”
