Newton Medical Center announced today the expansion of its orthopaedic service offerings. Gerard Librodo, MD, who specializes in spine surgery, will begin seeing patients on the hospital’s campus.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer this specialty to the community,” said Alex Haines, vice president of clinic operations, Newton Medical Center. “The addition of Dr. Librodo will provide an opportunity for patients with back or neck concerns to see a specialist here in Newton.”
Dr. Librodo is fellowship-trained in pediatric orthopaedics and orthopaedic spine surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgeries to address adult and pediatric spinal conditions including slipped discs, lumbar spinal stenosis, scoliosis, and back and neck pain. Some of his special surgical interests include degenerative, traumatic and minimally invasive spine surgery, scoliosis and spondylosis, and pediatric spinal fractures.
