We are currently seeking a Dialysis Nurse Coordinator located in our hospital (main campus) in Newton, KS. As a Dialysis Nurse Coordinator, you will work under the supervision of the Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) and administer high quality standards of Nursing Care to all hospitalized dialysis patients as prescribed by Nephrologist/Provider utilizing the Standard Clinical practice for Nephrology Nursing.  The Dialysis Nurse Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to provide the patient with a safe and effective dialysis treatment utilizing the Nursing process to coordinate the dialysis patient’s care:  assessment planning, implementation and evaluation.  Additionally, the Dialysis Nurse Coordinator will include, but is not all-inclusive, communicate with clinical care coordinator/charge nurse with regard to patients’ condition and tolerance of dialysis treatments, assist with maintenance of dialysis machinery, delegate, and provide direct nursing care for patients all while overseeing the daily functions of the Dialysis Staff.  We recognize we can’t provide the level of compassionate care that we do without the dedicated work of people like you. QUALIFICATIONS

 

Knowledge and Skills

 

·         Acute Dialysis:  1-year experience preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of one-year acute dialysis experience and/or one-year experience in chronic dialysis setting
  • Minimum of one-year critical care experience preferred
  • BCLS, ACLS preferred
  • Obtains Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) within two years of hire preferred

Licensure, registration or certification:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) required
