We are currently seeking a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Nurse Assistance (CNA) located in our Valley Center Family Medicine Clinic. In this role, not only will you be a valued member of our talented team of healthcare professionals, but also your passion will go a long way in the RMA /CNA position. As an RMA/CNA you will perform general nursing services of assigned and/or department. In accordance with HIPAA regulations, this position requires full access to Protected Health Information (PHI). This position includes, but is not necessarily limited to, assisting in obtaining vital signs, assisting with procedures, rooming patients, obtaining lab specimens, providing patient education, medication refills/reconciliation, patient triage, phone calls and other needs of our clinics. QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school or GED required.
- Registered or Certified Medical Assistant or Licensure as an RMA
- 1 to 2 years of clinic experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate with laboratory staff, nursing staff, providers and physicians.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
- Ability to carry out instructions from doctors.
- Ability to exhibit initiative and sound judgment in the absence of specific orders.
- Ability to anticipate provider’s needs.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to read and understand oral and written instruction.
- Ability to follow written protocols.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Excellent organizational skills.
