We are currently seeking a MLS Microbiology Coordinator position located in our Laboratory Services department.  The Technical Coordinator is a service-oriented individual with advanced responsibilities for one or more specialty/subspecialty areas and/or shift team coordination.  The duties of this position include, but are not necessarily all-inclusive, contributing to equipment selection, validation implementation and maintenance; operator education; quality assurance processes, maintaining appropriate documentation and performing laboratory professional duties. We recognize we can’t provide the level of compassionate care that we do without the dedicated work of people like you. QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a biological or chemical science, or a degree in Medical/Clinical Laboratory Technology/Science
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high complexity laboratory

Knowledge & Skills:

• Demonstrates ability to identify problems, initiate actions for correction and evaluate effectiveness of actions taken
• Exhibits commitment to technical excellence and customer service
• Demonstrates knowledge of quality control and patient result management
• Demonstrates time management, organization and prioritizing skills
• Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
• Willingly complies with regulatory requirements

Licensure, registration or certification:

• Certification as MT, MLS, or MLT is required
• Certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologist is preferred
