LPN (Medical)
Do you love providing compassionate care to those who suffer from illnesses or injuries? NMC Health is in need of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Medical Unit. In this role, you will provide excellent nursing care to patients which includes monitoring patient and family needs, planning, coordination, teaching, counseling, and direct physical care. Your skills and enthusiasm for detailed and reliable care to help patients progress toward outcomes will be used daily and are an essential aspect of care provision. You will have an opportunity to assist others in providing delegated aspects of care and function as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
We’re looking for a highly professional LPN who is comfortable reassuring families and communicating with NMC’s healthcare team as well as tending to the needs of his or her patients. This is a full-time Night shift position; three 12 hour shifts (7p-7a) a week on Medical Unit.
NMC Health offers competitive base pay with Med/Surg LPN shift differentials up to 55% on the weekends.
Pay Range: $17.34 to $24.48
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience:
- Graduation from high school or GED
- Graduation from accredited school of Practical Nursing
- Experience with and knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- Experience with and knowledge of medical office procedures, including draw/administration of injections
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation
Licensure and certifications:
- Current license as a practical nurse in the state of Kansas
- Basic Life Support is required
- Preferred: IV Therapy Certification from State of Kansas Board of Nursing.
- Additional certifications my be required depending on department/unit assigned.
